Last updated: [date to be confirmed]
This policy explains how [registered company name to be confirmed], trading as VITOD ("we", "us"), uses personal information collected through this website while VITOD prepares to launch. We are the controller of that information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
[Registered company name], registered in England and Wales, company number [to be confirmed]. Registered office: [address to be confirmed]. Email: [privacy contact email to be confirmed].
What we collect and why
This website does not sell anything yet, and it does not use analytics or advertising tools. We only collect what you choose to send us through its forms.
| Information | Why we use it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, the date and time you signed up, and the consent statement you agreed to | To send you the launch news and occasional marketing emails you asked for, and to keep a record of your consent | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Details you give in a wholesale, corporate gifting or contact enquiry: your name, email address, phone number, business details and message | To reply to you and, for trade enquiries, to discuss a possible business relationship | Legitimate interests |
| Technical information your browser sends when you submit a form, such as your IP address | To protect the forms from spam and abuse. We keep only a scrambled (hashed) form of the IP address, for no longer than 24 hours | Legitimate interests |
Who we share it with
This website is hosted by Hostinger, which stores the website and the form submissions on our behalf as our processor. Form submissions are also sent to our business email inbox. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing. When the VITOD shop opens, we may move your newsletter sign-up to our online shop platform so that we can keep sending you the emails you asked for. We will update this policy before we do.
International transfers
Where our providers process information outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum. [To be confirmed for each provider.]
How long we keep it
Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted, apart from a record that you unsubscribed. Enquiries are kept for [period to be confirmed] after our last contact with you.
Your rights
You have the right to access your information, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights or to unsubscribe, email [privacy contact email to be confirmed].
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we use your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
